Are there any LH employees summoned today?

[기자]

No additional staff have been summoned so far.

However, the police explained that the policy to summon and investigate the rest of the suspects remained unchanged on weekends.

The possibility of attending late in the afternoon or on Sunday cannot be ruled out.

All of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency’s real estate speculation investigation team has come to work in the morning to investigate allegations of speculation.

We are continuing to analyze data such as confiscated property along with the statements of three LH employees summoned yesterday.

Currently, there are 15 LH employees who have been targeted for police investigation, including 13 incumbent and 2 former employees.

They are being investigated as suspects of the Anti-Corruption Act, and they have been seized, searched, and banned from leaving the country.

The police are planning to call all LH staff members by next week to investigate, and then decide whether to summon additional recruits or handle recruits.

As three people were called first to investigate, it is observed that the timing and direction of the recruitment treatment of employees may differ depending on the analysis situation.

Explain how the investigation of the first three employees summoned yesterday went on.

[기자]

Yes, of the three people who were summoned yesterday, the most noticeable is Mr. Kang Mo, who was in charge of compensation at LH Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters.

Mr. Kang was present at around 10 a.m. yesterday and was surveyed for about 8 hours.

It is found that Kang has bought the most land for the planned development of the 3rd new town in Gwangmyeong and Siheung among the employees who have been suspicious so far.

From 2017 until recently, only 10 lots of lived land, both inside and outside the new city, amounted to 6.4 billion won.

Kang, who came out after the police investigation, responded briefly to the reporter’s question whether he admitted to the speculation charges, saying, “I answered sincerely.”

The police intensively investigated whether or not they used business secrets to purchase the planned site in the new town against Mr. Kang, and it is said that they denied the allegations of speculation.

Two people, including Mr. Kim Mo, an employee of LH’s Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, were also called and investigated by the police.

Kim, along with five former employees, bought the land in Noonsa-dong, Gwangmyeong-si in 2018, and is under suspicion of so-called’Jeonbuk expedition speculation’.

It is known that Mr. Kim and others, like Mr. Kang, made a statement with the intention of denying the allegations of speculation.

The police, having secured some of the data necessary for proving the allegations, are focusing their investigative power on finding out how they leaked development information and used it for speculation.
