The police, looking into the allegations of land speculation by LH employees, continued their investigation even on holidays.

An additional 23 employees, including local governments and public corporations, who were newly suspicious of speculation, were also launched.

Police, looking into LH staff’s alleged dumping of land, focused on coordinating the summons investigation schedule for the holidays.

Of the 15 people charged with violating the Anti-Corruption Act, three were summoned and investigated, and the remaining 12 are scheduled to be investigated within a week.

Three LH employees who were previously summoned were known to have denied allegations of using inside information to speculate.

The police are said to have confirmed the facts by comparing their statements with the data obtained during the seizure search.

Separately, the police also went into internal investigations on 23 additional people, including local government employees who were suspicious of speculation in the second round of investigation by the government joint investigation team.

The target audience is Gwangmyeong City Hall and other basic local government officials with 18 employees and local public corporations with 5 employees.

Farmland was most often purchased, and it was found that transactions were mainly made in the last two years.

It is known that there is a high possibility of distribution to the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency, where LH-related investigations are being conducted, as all of the offices of public officials in the internal investigation are located in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province.

It is predicted that the police will speed up the investigation even further as the movement to introduce special prosecutors over the suspicion of speculation on the planned new city development site is in full swing.

The police are expected to decide whether to deal with recruits, such as arrest, after specifying the allegations against the alleged employees.
