As the social distancing stage extends to the Lunar New Year holidays, traditional market merchants sigh, saying that they will have to give up the New Year tree this year.

The places where the quarantine measures were partially eased and the citizens who endure the discomfort were all regretted, but the intention was to endure a little more.

In front of the fruit store, there are many unsold fruit boxes.

The Lunar New Year holiday is one of the few topics for traditional market merchants, but this year it has become difficult to expect.

This is because the enhanced distancing was extended until the end of the holiday season.

[김윤홍 / 과일가게 상인 : (작년이) 100%라면, (올해는) 40% 정도…. 오늘은 오전에는 손님이 없다가 인제 조금 손님이 나오시는 거야.]

Since it was difficult for families to gather, sales of apples and pears, which are often used for sacrifice, have dropped, and only gift fruits are sold little by little.

[정창복 / 서울 불광동 : (자식들에겐) 집에서 가족끼리 조용히 지내라고 연락했어요. 곶감, 안동 곶감 (샀어요). 고향 친구분들 보내주려고….]

There are places where laughter has come back.

This is a gym where you can use the shower again due to the adjustment of the distance.

[윤효성 / 서울 후암동 : 땀 나면은 회사 다시 들어가기 힘드니까요, 근력 운동 위주로 땀 안 나는 운동하고, 땀 나면 물수건으로 닦고 그런 식으로 했습니다. 그래도 샤워할 수 있다니까 좋은 것도 있고 반반입니다.]

However, some operating restrictions have not been lifted, and the door must be closed after 9pm.

The gym director hopes that the spread of Corona 19 will decrease even before the Lunar New Year holidays, so that distance distancing will be relieved as soon as possible.

[김상우 / 헬스장 관장 : 이런 식으로 운영만 한다면 매출에 어느 정도 도움이 될 수 있다고 보고 있습니다. 밤 10시까지만이라도 영업할 수 있게 하는 게 매출에서도 20% 정도 차이가 날 수 있어서 그렇게 바라고 있습니다.]

I can’t even go home, and my daily inconvenience is still there.

Still, there were many opinions that when meeting citizens on the street, they would be more patient.

[강남철 / 서울 당산동 : 거리 두기 막바지 상태고 하기 때문에, 정부 시책에 협조도 해야 하고…. 조금 더 우리가 힘을 합치는 게 좋지 않나 싶어요.]

[최원희 / 서울 금호동 : 설날에 할머니와 할아버지 못 뵙는 건 아쉽지만, 국민을 생각해선 5인 이상 집합 금지하는 게 맞는다고 생각합니다.]
