In a situation where the domestic vaccine volume is not sufficient, the government has promoted the use of’LDS’ syringes to minimize the remaining amount after vaccination as K-quarantine excellence.
However, 700,000 released on the market are being recovered due to the discovery of poor scales or foreign substances in some syringes.
The problem is that 500,000 have already been used for AstraZeneca vaccinations, and the government hasn’t disclosed this for more than a month.

Ahead of domestic vaccination, the government has been promoting the’minimum residual type’ syringe extensively.
This’LDS’ syringe is specially manufactured so that there is little space between the piston and the needle, so the amount of remaining after inoculation is minimized.
Tens of millions of contracts have been awarded in the absence of enough vaccines.

The problem arose from February 27, the day after the domestic vaccination began.
The LDS syringes made by Doowon Meditech were found to have seam-like fibers, or defective products with the scales erased on the outside.
Two other companies also reported reports of foreign matters one by one.

On the 19th of last month, the use of Doowon Meditech’s syringes was stopped, and three days later, recovery measures were taken.
In the meantime, 500,000 have already been used to inoculate AstraZeneca.
It is more than half the size of the first-line vaccine recipients.
