The National Police Headquarters announced the status of the real estate speculation investigation yesterday.

So far, it has revealed that it is investigating 398 people in all 89 cases of real estate speculation.

Among them, 33 cases, 134 cases related to the 3rd new city.

It is reported that among the targets the police are investigating or investigating, 85 incumbent public officials, including three members of the National Assembly, are known.

Of the 14 lawmakers who have been suspicious so far, three have been identified with specific speculation.

Earlier, Democrat Seo Young-seok, a member of the Democratic Party, purchased the land in Gogang-dong, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, near the 3rd new city in 2015.

Members of the same party, Kim Han-jeong and Kim Ju-young, were also accused of speculation by buying land in Jinjeop-eup, Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do and Namyang-eup, Hwaseong, respectively.

People’s Power Kang Ki-yoon, Lee Ju-hwan, and independent lawmaker Jeon Bong-min have also been accused of abuse of authority and violation of the Public Officials Ethics Act.

The noodle version revealed the possibility of expanding the investigation into other lawmakers who were suspicious of being unable to reveal the real names of the three.

The police said that real estate speculation is a principle of detention investigation, and emphasized that the investigation will be conducted according to the principle regardless of whether the position is high or low.

In an announcement yesterday, the police said that 31 LH employees were included in the investigation.

Up to now, there are 15 former and current employees who have been subjected to specific charges.

The Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency, which investigates allegations of speculation in the 3rd new city of Gwangmyeong and Siheung, is summoning them.

On the 19th, we called for the first time three people, including Moo Kang, an employee, and so far, nine people have been called.

There are three LH incumbent employees summoned yesterday.

Among them, Mr. A, who served as the head of LH’s Gwacheon Business Division, bought the land in Mujinae-dong, Siheung, Gyeonggi-do in June 2018.

In addition, a major suspect, Kang Mo, and two employees who bought the land in Guarim-dong, Siheung, Gyeonggi-do in February of last year, also attended.

The police are planning to finalize a summons investigation of 15 former and current LH employees involved within this week.

If it is confirmed that internal information has been used, in principle, it will be investigated for arrest, and it is expected that the arrests will be covered sooner or later.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and LH headquarters were seized and searched.

The police explained that this is a dimension to secure the personal information of all current and former employees who have worked at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and LH Corporation since 2015.

The police are planning to use the obtained data to investigate the car name transaction in the name of a relative.
