In March, the quarantine authorities analyzed that the risk of infection would increase.

The number of cases of mutant virus infection, which is known to have a stronger infectivity, is increasing, and it was also cited as a factor that increased school opening and lowered awareness due to easing distance.

The quarantine authorities cited a mutant virus with a fast spread as the biggest key to preventing the spread of Corona 19 in the future.

This is because the number of infections caused by the mutant virus continues to increase from 119 in the third week of February to 156 as of March 1.

Currently, the number of mutant virus infections in the UK and South Africa is 133 and 17, respectively, and the number of mutant virus infections in Brazil is 6.

Although PCR testing is mandated and quarantine and testing are strengthened for all foreign visitors, concerns remain unabated.

There are also studies showing that vaccines that have just started vaccination in Korea are ineffective against mutations.

The same goes for the expansion of attendance and face-to-face classes in kindergarten and all schools starting this month.

The government is planning to manage school quarantine such as wearing masks and prohibiting private gatherings so that the quarantine on campus is thoroughly implemented.

Another problem is that as the number of contacts has increased due to the easing of distancing, group infections are continuing throughout the country.

In particular, small and medium-sized manufacturing workplaces with enclosed spaces and an increase in confirmed cases of foreign workers were also cited as risk factors for the spread of infection.

The quarantine authorities repeatedly urged them to abide by the quarantine rules, saying that the risk of infection could increase due to an increase in travel or meetings from this month when the day goes off.
