The Meteorological Administration issued heavy snow preliminary warnings to most regions of the country including the metropolitan area.
In particular, the heavy snowfall is expected to be very crowded as the time of heavy snow interlocks with the way to work on Monday in the cold.
The amount of snow falling this time is expected to be the highest in the new year.
Accordingly, the government held an emergency countermeasure meeting and started emergency work at the first stage of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters.
Local governments have prepared a preparedness by arranging snow removal equipment and manpower in advance to prevent the road from being paralyzed by the sudden accumulation of snow like the last time.
In addition, to prevent traffic congestion during rush hours, public transportation has been increased and public institutions have decided to adjust rush hours.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government, where the damage was concentrated in the surprise heavy snowfall on the 6th, also raised the level of response by requesting the police to control traffic at 221 vulnerable points.
