During the night, a fire broke out at the Haitai Confectionery Factory in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do.

Smoke soared from a fire from an apartment in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, and more than a hundred residents were evacuated.

The fire at the 4-story Haitai Confectionery factory was yesterday at 8:10 pm.

At one time, five or six nearby fire departments initiated the second phase of the response, which ignited a great flame in three and a half hours.

A fire broke out on the third floor of a 25-story apartment, and 19 residents were taken to the hospital after drinking smoke.

Firefighters and police circulated from house to house to rescue 53 residents who could not be evacuated, and about 50 others evacuated themselves.

The fire, which started in Yasan, Hwachon-myeon, Hongcheon, Gangwon-do, burned down 20ha of forest and extinguished in 9 hours.

Once a forest fire spread in a 120-year-old pine tree, the protector of Hongcheon-gun, the firefighters were able to extinguish and protect the pine trees.
