Homecoming vehicles are increasing?
[기자]
Yes, the number of homecoming vehicles is gradually increasing from morning.
With the start of a full-fledged homecoming procession from today, it is predicted that an average of 4.1 million vehicles will use the highway per day during the holiday season.
This is about 15% less than last year’s Lunar New Year holidays.
In terms of average movement alone, it is a 32.6% decrease compared to the last Lunar New Year holiday.
In addition, as most people say that they will use private vehicles rather than public transportation, you should check the road traffic conditions every hour.
The current road situation is increasing the number of vehicles and congestion sections on the highway.
In particular, the section from Cheonan toward Busan on the Gyeongbu line to Mokcheon is the most blocked.
As of 11:00 am, it takes 5 hours from Seoul Tollgate to Busan, 2 hours and 10 minutes to Daejeon, and 3 and a half hours from Gwangju.
Also, Mokpo is expected to be 3 hours and 40 minutes, Gangneung is 2 hours and 40 minutes, and Yangyang is 1 hour and 50 minutes.
Especially today, it is expected that the most vehicles will be crowded during the Lunar New Year holidays.
It is expected that 4.6 million vehicles will be on the way home today alone, and the Korea Expressway Corporation is expected to clear up between 1 and 2 a.m. tomorrow after the peak of congestion between 6 and 7 o’clock this evening.
