[사회]Government “Announcement of Corona 19 Vaccine Priority Targets at the end of January”

The government has announced that it will announce a plan for vaccination against Corona 19 later this month.

Yoon Tae-ho, head of the Central Accident Control Headquarters, held a regular briefing for Corona 19 today and said, “There will be a separate announcement to the public in January, centered on the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, regarding the vaccine vaccination plan.”

He added, “We have not yet confirmed the candidates for vaccine priority vaccination,” he added. “We plan to have time to present in detail after a comprehensive review.”

Priority vaccination plans released by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the 11th include medical institution workers, group facility residents and workers, the elderly over 65 years old, adults with chronic diseases, children and adolescents education and childcare facilities workers and staff, Corona 19 first responders, 50 ∼64-year-old adults, police and fire officials, soldiers, prisoners and staff at correctional facilities and treatment centers were included as eligible for priority vaccination.

Among them, it is known that medical staff, group facility residents and workers are being considered as the first candidates to receive the vaccine.

Korea has currently secured 56 million vaccines.

The government is also pursuing a contract to pre-purchase vaccines for 20 million people with NovaVax, so if this purchase contract is concluded, Korea will secure 76 million vaccines.
