Seven out of 10 single-parent families are not receiving child support from their former spouse.
Because of this, the government released a list of parents who do not pay child support from July and made it possible to punish them, but some point out that stronger measures are needed.

It is common not to pay child support to the old spouse who was responsible for the children after a divorce.
In order to receive child support, you and your children have to fight hard.
[김 군 / 중학교 1학년 (지난해 7월) : 책임을 다하지 않는 건 제 친부인 그 사람인데 왜 그 사람은 그에 대해서 어떤 처벌도 받지 않는지 저는 도무지 이해가 되지 않습니다.]
In fact, 7 out of 10 single-parent families are not receiving child support.
Looking at the amount of child support payments alone, last year, when Corona 19 swept, it decreased by 9 billion won.
[양육비 미지급 아버지 : 네가 법원 가서 나를 잡아넣든지 알아서 해라, 법대로 하면 될 것 아니야. 맞죠, 안 그렇습니까?]
There are penalties.
If you do not follow the payment order, it is possible to bind a’gamma order’, but it is not very effective.
This is because we placed the burden of proof on the person who did not receive child support.

Single-parent families who are unable to make a living right away can apply to the government for a temporary child support fee of 200,000 won per child per month.
[김권영 / 여성가족부 가족정책관 : 6년 동안 8억 7,600만 원을 한시적 양육비로 지원했는데요. (이 가운데 회수는) 2,000만 원 정도, 한 2% 정도 수준밖에 안 된다는 점, 회수율이 상당히 낮은데요.]
In order to solve this low recovery rate problem, from June, mandatory collection will be possible, such as arrears of national tax.
