A fishing boat was overturned off the coast of Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and six crew members, including two Koreans, were missing.

The sea police and military are looking for the crew, but the weather conditions are bad and the search is difficult.

In the middle of the dark sea, a fishing boat is turned upside down with the bottom exposed.

It is an overturned hull off the coast of Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk.

Yesterday’s report of flooding was 6:50 pm.

It was reported that the 9.77-ton red crab fishing boat’Goryongho’ was flooding in the sea 42km east of Gampo-eup, Gyeongju-si.

There were 6 people on board, including 2 Korean sailors, 3 Vietnamese, and 1 Chinese Korean, and one of them informed an acquaintance of the flood.

After that, the contact was cut off.

The sea police and the military immediately began a search with flares, and within two and a half hours of reporting the distress, they found the overturned Georyong Lake in the sea, 4 km away from the Shingo point.

We are searching around the fishing boat, but we haven’t found any crew yet.

It is said that due to bad weather conditions, it was not possible to check whether there were crew members inside the overturned fishing boat.

At the sea of ​​the accident, there is a high wave height of up to 3.5m with a strong wind of about 15m per second.

The Coast Guard and the military have deployed more than 10 ships and aircraft around the Georyong Lake, and civilian fishing boats are also helping in the search.

Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Moon Seong-hyuk instructed to do its best to save lives by mobilizing all available resources.

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Coast Guard also requested assistance from nearby private ships and fishing boats.
