It was around 5:45 pm that A, a Filipino worker in her 50s, suddenly collapsed on the 4th floor of B building B, Songpa complex.

It was less than 50 minutes after I started working.

The paramedics who had been reported and dispatched moved Mr. A to the emergency room, but he died.

It was my first day to work.

It was investigated that Mr. A performed simple tasks such as arranging boxes that were dropped after being put into the test operation of the conveyor belt.

The company explained that Mr. A was hired as a part-time job at a partner company through an employment agency, and that details cannot be disclosed because the police are investigating.

Police investigating the death of Mr. A said there were medical staff findings that he had a heart abnormality.

However, in order to determine the exact cause of death, we plan to look for A’s past medical records and review the autopsy.

In addition, we plan to discuss the procedure for delivery of the body with the bereaved family in the Philippines and the Philippine diplomatic authorities.

Mr. A, who entered Korea in 1994, is known to have lived alone in a rented room in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
