The Ministry of Education decided to expand classes to school through strict quarantine and flexible academic management.

Accordingly, it is a policy to flexibly increase attendance classes while maintaining school density at each stage of distance.

First of all, the expansion targets are kindergarten students, lower elementary school students, special schools and class students who desperately need face-to-face classes.

However, the timing of the full attendance of all students will be carefully determined after consulting with the quarantine authorities after comprehensively reviewing the corona trend and vaccination status.

In order to compensate for the gap between quarantine and education, we are also preparing measures to resolve overcrowded classes.

Focusing on overcrowded classroom areas, we will re-establish school new/expansion and student placement plans.

In addition, an additional 2,000 fixed-term teachers are placed in over 2,000 overcrowded classes with 30 or more students in one of the lower grades of elementary school, that is, 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders.

These teachers are in charge of supporting students who lack basic academic skills by increasing the class to reduce the density or by putting two teachers in one classroom.

Not only the learning, but also the emotional and caring areas.

We will increase the placement of professional counselors for students with emotional crisis, and expand care services.

From September, we plan to introduce a cooperative care program between local governments and schools to provide all-day care to 459,000 elementary school students.

There is also a plan to improve the quality of remote classes.

The video class service, which enables interactive communication between students and teachers, will open next month, and regulations will also be innovated, such as allowing performance evaluation through videos.

Infra is also continuously expanded, such as establishing wireless networks for classrooms for stable classes.

The Ministry of Education is also planning to establish the role of Green Smart Future School for future education and to lay the foundation for the phased introduction of the high school credit system.
