A private hospital in Osong, North Chungcheong Province, has been designated as a’dedicated hospital’ for corona19 patients for the first time in non-capital areas.

It means that an additional 120 beds have been secured, which is still insufficient given the trend of spreading that has not been broken.

It is a burn specialist hospital in Osong, Cheongju, Chungbuk.

It is a hospital with 220 beds, opened in 2018, and has been designated as a dedicated hospital for the corona19 base for the first time in non-metropolitan areas.

As hospital beds for severely ill patients became scarce across the country, the hospital emptied all of them and announced their intention to support them.

In order to secure space, the number of beds will be reduced to 120 and a separate facility will be provided between patients.

The government has decided to cooperate as much as possible with the necessary equipment and personnel support.

The number of beds dedicated to severely ill patients with Corona 19, which was only about 250 a week ago, has recently increased to 380 by supplementing equipment and personnel.

The number of immediate hospitalization beds during the same period increased from 48 to 88 for 25 days.

However, in the case of the Chungcheong area, where the number of patients is rapidly increasing, there are only three beds that can be hospitalized, and there are still not enough beds in Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk and Daejeon.

Of the 285 treatment beds for severe patients that are not dedicated hospitals, only 10 are available immediately.

In order to secure additional beds, the government is making all-out efforts, such as expanding the scope of compensation payments to medical institutions that have treated corona19 patients, but concerns remain that they will be able to handle the spread of more than 1,000 people every day.
