[앵커]

A court official has been arrested for attempting to rape a woman passing by while drunk.

The court that decided the arrest was none other than the place where this official worked.

Reporter Park Hee-jae reports.

On a dark night, a woman urgently comes out of the building door.

The man who follows lies down, holding the woman’s leg.

He gets up again, pushes the woman to the wall and throws it to the floor.

After a while, staff from nearby stores run and fight against men.

[시린 / 가게 점원 : 여자가 갑자기 소리 질렀어요. “살려주세요!” 남자는 싸움할 때 까불지 말라 (했어요.) 너무 이상했어요. 눈빛이.]

It was around 11:00 pm on the 17th that a man was caught trying to rape an unknown woman in front of a women’s bathroom in a building in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

This is the scene where the crime took place.

The man, who was stopped from acting at this place, was arrested by the police who were dispatched after being reported by an employee.

The suspect is Mr. Kim Mo, in his 30s, a public official belonging to the Seoul Eastern District Court.

During a police investigation, he said he committed a crime against an unknown woman who was drunk.

When he was refused after asking for his contact information, he was known to have committed the same behavior.

After five days of the crime, Kim, who attended the court where he was working for a substantive examination of the arrest warrant, bowed his head saying he apologized to the victim.

The court that lifted Mr. Kim’s position is a policy of taking additional disciplinary procedures depending on the progress of the investigation in the future.
