[사회]Court “Disclose the interview records of Yoon Mi-hyang at the time of agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Comfort Women”

In the course of the 2015 Korea-Japan comfort women agreement, a court ruling was issued that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must disclose the records of the interview with the Democratic Party Rep. Yoon Mi-hyang, who was the standing representative of the Korean Council for Countermeasures against Mental Problems.

The Seoul Administrative Court ruled that some of the plaintiffs were won in a lawsuit against the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for rejection of information disclosure by a conservative attorney’s group,’Aggregation of Lawyers for Human Rights and Unification on the Korean Peninsula’.

The court ruled that Han Byeon asked for disclosure to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to disclose most of the rest, minus one of the five denied information.

In the results of the interview with the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Daehyup Chung, he explained that sensitive matters such as the details of the diplomatic consultation were removed, and the date and time, location, and subject of the interview were disclosed.

Earlier in May of last year, Grandma Lee Yong-soo, a comfort women victim, claimed that at the time of the Korea-Japan comfort women agreement, CEO Yoon Mi-hyang knew in advance that Japan was providing 1 billion yen.

In response, Hanbyon requested that the public have the right to know whether Rep. Yun knew the contents of the Korea-Japan comfort women agreement at the time and whether Rep. Yoon’s opinion was reflected in the agreement, and requested the disclosure of data and information related to the interview.

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected it, saying that if the information requested by Hanbyun is disclosed, it would harm the country’s significant interests, and in response to this, Hanbyon filed a lawsuit to cancel the disposition for refusal to disclose information.
