As the current social distancing period ends next week, this week is expected to become a watershed that can be used to gauge whether the spreading trend will definitely be curtailed.

First, let’s summarize the current status of Corona 19 confirmed today.

As of 0:00 today, there are 665 new cases.

It has increased by 24 from yesterday, but it has maintained a triple digit for nearly a week since the 5th, from the 5th to 600 people for 3 consecutive days.

Looking at the route of infection, 631 cases in Korea and 34 inflows from overseas, of which 88 were confirmed at the temporary screening office in the metropolitan area.

By region, more than 60% of all occurrences in the area are in the metropolitan area, with 179 in Seoul, 189 in Gyeonggi and 32 in Incheon.

Except for Sejong City, there were confirmed cases in all 16 provinces. In the non-metropolitan area, more than 30 cases were confirmed in Busan, Daegu, Ulsan, and Chungnam.

The number of deaths increased by 25 to a cumulative 1,125, and the number of seriously ill patients was 401, down by 8 from yesterday.

The number of confirmed cases is decreasing, but sporadic infections continue to follow by region?

Currently, the most worrisome place is the BTJ World Center, a religious facility in Sangju, Gyeongbuk.

As of yesterday (9th), the cumulative number of confirmed cases exceeded 500, and only about 30% of the total number of people who received screening tests could not rule out the possibility that the number of confirmed cases will increase significantly depending on the results of the investigation.

In the Seoul area, after the first confirmed case in the Jongno-gu sauna occurred on the 5th, 10 people, including 3, were infected yesterday, and 12 confirmed patients were added on the 7th at the Seoul Eastern Detention Center, and one employee was confirmed as of this morning. There are many cases of group infection.

In addition, among the hospitalized patients at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital in Pyeongchon, Gyeonggi-do, at least two confirmed cases of Corona 19 occurred, and one confirmed at a nursing home in Gyeyang-gu and Seo-gu, and a day and night care center in Seo-gu, Incheon.

In the midst of this, the quarantine authorities believe that the confirmed trend is declining to some extent, but they believe that they cannot be relieved yet.

If it is as planned, the reinforced social distancing measures will end on the 17th next week, and the business of karaoke bars and indoor sports facilities in the metropolitan area is expected to resume.
