At the trial of an employee in the secretary’s office of a former mayor of Seoul who was accused of sexual assault on a fellow employee, the court is drawing attention when the court referred to the sexual assault case of the late Mayor Park Won-soon.

In the process of refuting the accused’s claim that the mental pain suffered by the victim was attributable to Mayor Park’s sexual harassment, the court admitted that it was true that the victim suffered from the sexual harassment at the time.

Last April, the night before the 21st general election.

Jeong-mo, an employee of the Seoul Mayor’s secretary’s office, had a dinner with colleagues.

Mr. A, an employee from the same secretary’s office, also joined us.

On this day, Mr. A, who was drunk, was brought to a motel and was handed over to trial for sexual assault.

At the first trial sentence, the court convicted Mr. Jung’s suspicion of a semi-rape, and ordered him to complete the sexual assault treatment program for 40 hours after 3 years and 6 months in prison and imprisoned in court.

The judge said that the consistent statement of Mr. A admitted that he had raped Mr. A, who was unable to protest because he was drunk.

In the process of explaining the reasons for the sentence, the late Mayor Park Won-soon was also mentioned.

Until now, Mr. Jung has argued that Mr. A is a victim of sexual harassment by Mayor Park, and has argued that the mental pain that Mr. A has complained about is not because of himself, but to Mayor Park.

Regarding this, the judge stated that it seems to be true that Mr. A was sexually harassed by Mayor Park in the contents of counseling treatment.

However, he said that Mr. A had complained of betrayal and stress toward him from before that, and made it clear that the direct cause of the mental suffering he suffered was due to his crime.

Mr. A expressed its position that it welcomed the ruling.

Mr. A’s side also said that the victim’s identity information has already been widely distributed on the Internet, etc., and appealed to A to stop the secondary harassment so that Mr. A can return to his normal life.

After Mayor Park’s death last year, the suspicion of sexual harassment was ended with’no public prosecution’, and the suspicion of assistance from Seoul Metropolitan Government officials was concluded without charge in the police investigation.

This case is a separate trial that has nothing to do with Mayor Park’s allegations of sexual harassment.

However, there are concerns that the past controversy is reigniting as a judicial agency, not an investigative agency, came up with a judgment that virtually admits Mayor Park’s allegations of sexual harassment for the first time.
