Today, for the first time in Korea, the COVID-19 vaccine is delivered by the quarantine authorities to a distribution center in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do.

AstraZeneca vaccine made by a domestic consignment manufacturer, vaccination starts nationwide from the 26th.

This is a SK bioscience factory in Andong, Gyeongbuk.

The AstraZeneca vaccine commissioned here is delivered to our quarantine authorities for the first time.

It is the first vaccine introduced after a year and a month after the outbreak of Corona 19 in Korea.

The amount introduced is 1.5 million doses to be inoculated to 750,000 people, including residents and workers under the age of 65 in nursing hospitals and nursing facilities nationwide.

It is supplied to the distribution center in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do one after another for five days.

On the first day, a large truck is delivered and transported to the distribution center.

It is expected to take about 2 hours from Andong to Icheon, being escorted by the police.

The amount required for the first vaccination is decomposed at the distribution center and transported to public health centers and nursing hospitals nationwide for 5 days from the 25th.

In nursing hospitals where the doctor works directly, it is recommended that the vaccine be given within 5 days from the day after receiving the vaccine.

In facilities that do not have resident doctors, such as nursing homes for the elderly, doctors personally visit and get the vaccine.
