The total number of confirmed cases related to the Seoul Dongbu Detention Center so far is 959.

Yesterday, the cumulative infection scale increased as 13 additional prisoners whose results were not found in the last 4th total investigation were confirmed.

After the first confirmed cases came out on November 27 last year, the spread does not stop.

In particular, in the 4th total inspection conducted on the 30th of last year, on about 1,800 employees and prisoners, a bunch of 126 prisoners were positive.

Today, the 5th test is conducted at the Dongbu detention center for 1,128 employees and prisoners who received the negative test last time.

When the results of this test come out, there are voices of concern that the size of the confirmed cases, currently in the mid-900s, exceeds four digits.

Since the last 2nd and 3rd tests showed 200 people at a time, and the last test showed more than 120 infected people, attention is being paid to the results of this test.

The number of corona19 confirmed cases in correctional facilities nationwide increased to 982, and two cases of death among prisoners in correctional facilities were serious.

Group infection continues to occur in everyday life spaces such as workplaces, religious facilities, and hospitals.

First of all, the number of confirmed cases related to the Icheon Logistics Terminal of Rosen Express has increased to 80, including 69 employees.

The first confirmed cases came out on the 29th of last month, and the quarantine authorities believe that the infection has spread because workers were not wearing masks and distance rules were not well established.

At a leather factory in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, the cumulative number of confirmed cases increased to 67 after the first confirmed case occurred on the 28th of last month.

The plant was shut down, but 545 people, including employees and retirees, were thoroughly inspected.

The spread continues in nursing homes and hospitals.

On the 29th of last month, the infection scale increased to 16 after 2 officials were confirmed at a nursing home in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.

In the epidemiological investigation, the employees followed the quarantine measures well, but it was found that some inmates were not able to avoid infection due to insufficient wearing of masks.

In a hospital in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, after one hospitalized patient was confirmed on the 21st of last month, 12 were added in the contact investigation, and the total was counted as 66.

Meanwhile, at the church in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, where the first confirmed person came out on the 27th of last month, 5 additional people, including members of the church and family, were confirmed, and the infection scale increased to 61.

The quarantine authorities explained that the current situation is viewed as a state of stagnation that shows neither a sharp increase nor a marked decline.
