There were 653 domestic outbreaks and 15 foreign inflows.

When looking at new patients by region, the number of patients in the metropolitan area, including 196 in Seoul, 173 in Gyeonggi, 44 in Incheon, was 413, a higher increase than yesterday.

Areas outside the metropolitan area also include 61 in Daejeon, 38 in Busan, 16 in Daegu, 26 in Ulsan, 16 in Gangwon and 25 in Gyeongnam.

The strong spread outside the metropolitan area, which began last week, is becoming more evident today.

Four more deaths per day occurred, while the number of seriously ill patients decreased by three.

Yesterday, 37,533 people received the first dose per day.
