An investigation into former LH employees who are suspected of speculation in the new cities of Gwangmyeong and Siheung is also continuing.

The Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency, which is investigating the case, is scheduled to call two suspects today, including a former Gyeonggi Provincial Office executive A, to investigate.

Mr. A is a former executive of the Investment Promotion Division of Gyeonggi Province.

In August 2018, when he was currently in office, he bought 4 lots near the planned SK Yongin semiconductor cluster for 500 million won in the name of his wife’s company.

It was just four months before the official announcement of the semiconductor cluster.

The current price has jumped nearly five times from the time of purchase.

In less than three years, I have collected 2 billion won.

The land adjacent to the development of new housing sites can earn more market profits than the site to be accommodated, so it is a place that is aimed only at so-called’real estate tags’.

Gyeonggi Province suspects that in January 2018, when SK’s investment trend report was received, Mr. A recognized the development drawings in advance.

Accordingly, on the 23rd, the police accused Mr. A of gaining unfair gains by using secrets in public affairs during his tenure, and two days later, the police seized and searched Mr. A.

A summons investigation on allegations of speculation in the new cities of Gwangmyeong and Siheung is also ongoing.

The Gyeonggi Southern Office is scheduled to call a former LH employee to investigate this afternoon.

It is not yet clear who the employee is.

However, former LH employees are key figures in the’Jeonbuk expedition’ worth 15 billion won.

From 2018 to 2020, not only family members and relatives, but also neighbors came and concentrated to purchase the land in Noonsa-dong, Gwangmyeong-si.

For this reason, the police are suspecting that the former and current employees from Jeonju who worked at LH’s Jeonbuk Headquarters obtained and disseminated certain information.

The police are also considering resuming another key figure in the alleged speculation in the new city, such as Kang Mo, who is incumbent this week.

In 2018, as well as last January, when the government was promoting the development of Gwangmyeong and Siheung in earnest, Kang bought the land adjacent to the large new city, which was profitable from the market.

As if aiming for compensation, the police are investigating intensively as the situation has been caught on whether prior information has been obtained, such as planting trees in the existing land.
