The number of new corona 19 confirmed cases in Korea has reached 500 for the fifth day.

The so-called’weekend effect’, which temporarily decreases the number of confirmed cases due to the decrease in the number of tests, did not appear.

First of all, please tell us the new confirmation status.

Yesterday, there were 543 new cases a day.

It is already five days since the number of new confirmed cases rose to 500 on the 31st of last month.

In particular, the number of tests yesterday, on the weekend, decreased by 37,000 from the previous day, but the number of confirmed cases remained at 500, raising concerns that it is leading to the fourth outbreak.

Among the new confirmed cases, 514 people occurred in the region and 29 people came from overseas.

There were more than 300 people in the metropolitan area alone, including 146 people in Seoul and Gyeonggi, and 19 in Incheon.

The number of non-metropolitan patients, including 60 in Busan, 28 in Daejeon, and 23 in Jeonbuk, also exceeded 200.

As the non-metropolitan area accounts for about 40% of all confirmed cases, the trend is becoming more pronounced.

The death toll increased by 4 more, the cumulative death toll increased to 1,744, and the number of severely ill patients decreased by 2 to 99.

Looking at the recent outbreak, infections are increasing in all everyday spaces such as restaurants, multi-use facilities, and day care centers.

The government yesterday expressed concern through a major script meeting, saying, “Corona 19 seems to be spreading its base in all everyday spaces and foreshadowing the fourth epidemic.”

In particular, concerns about the spread of religious facilities are growing, especially today, on Easter, and the remaining 4·7 re-election is another risk factor.

Please tell us the status of vaccination in Korea.

Yesterday, 8,229 people received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 537 people received the second dose.

Up to now, the number of people who received the first vaccination has increased to 962,000, and about 27,000 people have completed the second vaccination.

The vaccination rate relative to the domestic population is 1.85%.

Yesterday, there were 50 reports of adverse reactions after one day of vaccination, of which one suspected anaphylaxis.

The remaining 49 were relatively mild symptoms such as muscle pain, headache, fever, chills, and nausea.

From tomorrow, the basic quarantine rules will be further strengthened, right?

First of all, the period of the basic quarantine regulations enacted by the government from the 29th of last month ends today.

Starting tomorrow, if a violation of basic quarantine rules is detected in a multi-use facility, etc., the owner will be required to pay a fine of 3 million won and the user less than 100,000 won.

The contents of the existing rules have also been reinforced.

Eating is prohibited in principle, except for facilities intended to consume food, such as restaurants and cafes, or facilities that sell food.

Accordingly, in the future, you should not eat food at movie theaters, performance halls, study cafes, and museums.

In addition, masks must be worn at all indoor multi-use facilities and workplaces, and all access lists must be completed by all representatives, not by one representative.
