With the third corona 19 pandemic showing a modest decline, the number of new confirmed cases remained at the 500 mark for six days.

The government has decided to extend the current distancing step by another two weeks.

The number of new confirmed cases hit 500 yesterday?

As of 0 o’clock today, there are 520 new cases.

It was reduced by 60 people from the previous day, but remained at the 500 mark for six days.

Looking at the path of infection, there are 500 domestic patients and 20 foreign inflows.

By region, there are 142 in Seoul, 173 in Gyeonggi, and 35 in Incheon, which is 350 in the metropolitan area alone.

In the non-capital area, Busan was the largest with 32, followed by Gyeongnam with 18, and Daegu, Ulsan, Jeonnam and Gyeongbuk with 15 each.

Of the 17 trials, there were no confirmed cases only in Jeju.

The number of people who died from Corona 19 increased by 13 to 1,249.

The number of patients with severe gastric disorders decreased by 8 to 352.

Did the government decide to re-extend the current social distancing measures that were scheduled to end today?

First of all, the current distance-taking steps for the 2.5th stage of the metropolitan area and the second stage of the non-metropolitan area will be extended by two more weeks from tomorrow.

The ban on private gatherings with more than 5 people and the ban on business after 9pm will also be held for another 2 weeks.

However, for some facilities, the ban on gatherings will be relaxed.

First, the number of people in the metropolitan area’s gym and singing practice is limited to ‘1 person per 8㎡’.

Operation is only allowed until 9pm.

You can also sit in the store and have a drink at the cafe until 9pm.

Restrictions on religious activities were also lifted.

Face-to-face activities are allowed within 10% to 20% of the total number of seats for regular worship services.

However, there are concerns that the winter season is still favorable for the survival of the virus, and the number of new confirmed cases is turning to an increase again as some quarantine measures are eased this time.

Moreover, there will be a Lunar New Year holiday next month, so if alertness is relaxed, re-proliferation may be triggered at any time.
