The number of new corona19 patients in Korea, which has been up and down from 300 to 400 for a while, has exceeded 500.

This is because the number of confirmed cases has increased significantly not only in the metropolitan area but also in the non-metropolitan area, which was relatively stable.

Can you tell us the trend of new patients with Corona 19?

As of 0 o’clock today, there are 505 new cases in total.

It has been 36 days since 561 on the 19th of last month that the number of new coronavirus patients in Korea reached the 500 level.

The route of infection was 490 domestic outbreaks and 15 foreign inflows.

When looking at domestic outbreaks by region, there are also many metropolitan areas.

There are 306 new patients in the metropolitan area, including 126 in Seoul, 141 in Gyeonggi, and 39 in Incheon.

Not a few patients are also coming out of areas other than the metropolitan area.

There were 38 in Chungbuk, 35 in Gangwon, 33 in Busan, 22 in Daegu, and 19 in Gyeongnam.

There were 184 people in the non-metropolitan area, the largest number of confirmed cases in 57 days since January 29th.

Bang Dae-bon has also disclosed the vaccination status, but is the vaccination proceeding without any disruption until now?

As of today’s 0 o’clock, the number of new primary vaccinations was 22,845, exceeding 790,000 cumulatively.

In terms of the total population in Korea, 1.53% completed the first vaccination.

The number of people who completed the second vaccination also increased by 1,399 to a cumulative 5,232.

Of the 850,000 people eligible for the first quarter vaccination, about 710,000 have received the first vaccination so far, so the overall vaccination rate is 84.2%, but 93.2% compared to those who consented to vaccination.

The cumulative number of vaccinations for the second quarter is 73,000 people, the vaccination rate is 19.5%, compared to those who consented to vaccination 25.9%

After vaccination, 149 reports of adverse reactions were added.

Of these, 4 cases were suspected of anaphylaxis, 1 case was seriously suspected, and 4 cases were added to death.

The dead were hospitalized in nursing hospitals in their 80s and 90s, both had underlying diseases, and died 19 to 41 hours after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The quarantine authorities are currently investigating causality with vaccines.

In the midst of this, you said that more than 50 cases were confirmed after being vaccinated?

Yes, as of 0 o’clock yesterday, a total of 57 confirmed cases after the Corona 19 vaccination.

By type of vaccine, 53 AstraZeneca vaccines and 4 Pfizer vaccines.

The time of confirmation was 15 patients within a week after vaccination, 27 patients from 8 to 14 days, and 15 patients after 2 weeks.

The most common age group was 15 people in their 20s and 30s each, followed by 13 people in their 50s, 8 people in their 40s, and 6 people in their 60s or older.

By gender, 41 women were more than 16 men.

Looking at the professions of the confirmed patients, all 55 people except for 2 patients were medical institution workers and medical workers.

Specifically, there were 39 non-medical workers such as physical therapists and clinical pathologists, 16 medical personnel, and 2 patients.

The exact route of infection has not been confirmed, but it is presumed that they were infected before vaccination or before immunity was established after vaccination.

The quarantine authorities emphasized that quarantine measures such as distancing and wearing a mask should be followed, saying that immunity is not formed immediately after getting the vaccine, but it takes about two weeks.
