With the third pandemic of Corona 19 continuing an uneasy phase due to the aftermath of a group infection initiated by the IM Mission, the number of new confirmed cases reached 400 for two consecutive days.

The government is constantly struggling over a plan to adjust social distancing steps to be announced the day after tomorrow.

The Central Accident Response Headquarters announced that it will announce the distancing adjustment plan, which will be applied from February 1st, on the 31st and Sunday of the day before.

Currently, steps 2.5 in the metropolitan area and step 2 in the non-metropolitan area are being implemented.

The government initially tried to announce a distancing adjustment plan today, but the announcement was delayed as the number of confirmed cases recently increased again in the aftermath of the group infection initiated by the IM Mission.

The announcement on Sunday includes whether or not to extend the ban on meetings of 5 or more people and special quarantine measures for the Lunar New Year holidays.

Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun said at a critical script meeting this morning that he will observe the corona 19 situation with increasing uncertainty and make a careful decision.

Can you tell us the status of new confirmed cases?

As of 0:00 today, there are 469 new cases.

It was reduced by 28 people from the previous day, maintaining the level of 400 people for two consecutive days.

Looking at the path of infection, domestic outbreaks were 445 and foreign inflows were 24.

By region, there were 109 domestic infections in Seoul, 129 in Gyeonggi and 18 in Incheon, with 256 in the metropolitan area alone.

Of these, 70 were confirmed at the temporary screening inspection office in the metropolitan area.

In the non-metropolitan area, Gwangju was the largest with 54.

This was followed by 41 from Gyeongbuk, 34 from Busan, and 15 from Gyeongnam.

Nine out of 24 foreign inflows were confirmed during the quarantine stage.

The number of people who died from Corona 19 increased by 13 to a cumulative 1,399.

The number of patients with severe gastric disorders decreased by 12 to 239.
