As of 0:00 a.m. on the 21st, there are 456 new cases of Corona 19 in Korea.

It has increased by 4 people from yesterday, and it has reached 400 people for five consecutive days since the 17th.

Because it was the weekend, the number of tests decreased by almost half from the previous day, but the number of confirmed cases increased.

For this reason, the positive rate calculated by counting confirmed cases compared to the number of tests was 1.92%, which was significantly higher than the previous day’s 1.03%.

Looking at the recent infection pattern, group outbreaks are continuing in everyday spaces such as small workers, workplaces, hospitals, and public baths.

The number of new confirmed cases in Korea was 299 in the metropolitan area alone, accounting for 68% of the total.

In particular, in the case of the metropolitan area, an average of 302 confirmed patients per day for the last week, and the quarantine authorities have a long way to go to the target of 200.

The number of deaths increased by three more, with a total of 1,696 people killed so far, and 1.72% of those infected with the corona have died.

Among these, 939 additional corona vaccines were received yesterday, and 676,000 people have been vaccinated so far.

It is about 85% of those who are eligible for the first dose.

From the day after tomorrow, AstraZeneca vaccination will begin for patients 65 years of age or older who are hospitalized in nursing hospitals.
