First of all, please tell us the situation related to the confirmed cases of the Dongbu Detention Center.

As of 6 p.m. yesterday, the cumulative number of confirmed cases related to the Eastern Detention Center outbreak was 1,093.

In terms of the number of prisoners alone, it is 1,050. At the time of the first full test on the 19th of last month, the total number of prisoners was 2,400, which means that four out of ten prisoners were infected.

If we look at the confirmed cases, excluding the prisoners of the Eastern Detention Center, 22 employees and 21 family members and acquaintances.

The cumulative number of confirmed cases in correctional facilities nationwide, including prisoners, employees, and prisoners, was 1,125 as of 6 pm yesterday.

Four additional prisoners in the Seoul detention center and one in the Cheonan prison were infected.

In addition, two prisoners who were transferred from the Dongbu detention center to the southern Seoul prison and one who was transferred to the Yeongwol prison were also confirmed.

Infection in Eastern detention centers as well as correctional facilities nationwide is in a constant situation.

The government is expected to announce comprehensive quarantine measures today.

It is expected that measures to strengthen the quarantine and preliminary inspections of prisons and detention centers, and to reduce the density of eastern detention centers will be implemented.

Dongbu detention center 6th full test results are expected to come out soon?

Yesterday, 760 employees and prisoners of Dongbu Detention Center had the 6th total inspection.

For each of the previous tests, there were more than 100 and 300 additional confirmed cases, but there is a high possibility that the number of confirmed cases will increase significantly.

The subjects of the 6th test are those who tested negative in the last test.

Results are expected to come out today.

The Suwon Detention Center and Incheon Detention Center, which are high-rise building-type correction facilities similar to the Dongbu Detention Center, were also thoroughly inspected.

It is pointed out that high-rise building correction facilities have a high risk of group infection, such as poor ventilation.

The Ministry of Justice is planning to take additional countermeasures, such as transferring the non-contact voice judges to another institution if a large number of confirmed cases occur as a result of this investigation.
