Infection continues sporadically in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas.

Sauna-related confirmed cases continue to increase?

There are at least 29 confirmed cases in the sauna where I am listed.

On the 2nd, since the first employee was confirmed, 28 people have been infected one after another in five days.

As a result of an epidemiological investigation, it was found that the measures to restrict the number of users in the sauna along with the management of the access list were relatively well followed.

However, the quarantine authorities believe that the sauna is located underground, making it difficult to ventilate, and factors such as staying in an enclosed space for long periods of time have an effect.

As such, group infection continues to occur in saunas. Since the end of last month, one user in the sauna in Seongbuk-gu was first confirmed, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Seoul has increased to about 20.

As such, there were 24 cases of group infections related to saunas nationwide since October last year.

The quarantine authorities urged sauna owners to guide users to wear masks in spaces other than baths, and to refrain from talking or eating or drinking.

Meanwhile, additional confirmed cases continue to emerge from existing cases of group infection.

The number of confirmed cases related to hunting pot tea in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul increased by 4 to 69, and the number of related confirmed cases increased to 84 at the homeless shelter at Seoul Station.

At an athletic facility in Seodaemun-gu, there were 16 cumulative confirmed cases.

A newly identified case of group infection came out. Since one worker was first confirmed on the 2nd at an interior company in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, 14 people in total have been infected and entered quarantine treatment until yesterday.
