250,000 Pfizer vaccines for Corona 19 entered the country today.

It is a vaccine for seniors over 75 years of age, and the vaccination starts next month.

Pfizer’s vaccine arrived at the National Medical Center here around noon, four and a half hours after arriving at Incheon International Airport today.

1,950 vials, that is, 11,700 times as little as 11,700 times, as much as 13,650 times.

There are 500,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines in Korea today.

The government contracted directly with Pfizer and individual contracts could fit 250,000 people.

It was produced in Belgium and arrived at Incheon International Airport at around 7:30 a.m. today after passing through Cologne, Germany and Shenzhen, China via a cargo-only aircraft.

After receiving quality checks before distribution at Incheon International Airport, they are loaded onto 15 delivery vehicles and delivered to 22 vaccination centers nationwide for storage.

This amount will be used for vaccinations for seniors aged 75 and over starting on the 1st of the following month.

Pfizer vaccination targets over the age of 75 total 3.64 million people, with an additional 250,000 coming in at the end of this month.

The government plans to bring in 3 million more by the second quarter.

The number of vaccines the government has secured to date is 79 million people.

The contracts for 10 million people through COVAX Facility, an international vaccine supply organization, and the rest are contracted separately with pharmaceutical companies.

If we look at individual contract vaccines by type, Pfizer vaccines for 13 million, AstraZeneca for 10 million, Janssen for 6 million, and Modena and NovaVax for 20 million each.

On the 31st, a portion of the AstraZeneca vaccine supply, which is the supply of Cobax facilities, is also scheduled to come into Korea.
