[사회][앵커리포트] Scattered’card points at a glance’… just look at this

Since the benefits are different for each card company, there are many people who use two or more card companies to receive various support that comes out when a new member sign up.

There is also a statistic that the number of credit cards per person in the domestic economically active population is 3.9, and the number of credit cards per person in Korea is the fourth in the world.

A service that allows you to check the scattered card company points at a glance and convert them into cash has begun.

First, search for’Card Point Integrated Inquiry’ on Naver or Daum portals and access www.cardpoint.or.kr, or download the’Account Info’ app from KFTC.

The website is available from 0:30 am to 11:30 pm every day, and the app is available from 1:00 am to 11:00 pm.

However, foreigners can only use the app.

You can check credit card companies with the highest market share such as Shinhan, Samsung, KB Kookmin, and Hyundai, as well as bank cards and post office card points affiliated with BC Card.

It tells you the points for each card, the estimated expiration amount, and the expiration date.

Representative points such as Lotte’s L point and KB Kookmin point are all applicable, but alliance points that can only be used at certain affiliated stores are excluded.

Cash conversion rate, most credit card companies can be considered as 1 point = 1 won.

Only Hyundai Card is ‘1.5 points = 1 won’.

You need to change the M points to something called’H Coin’ on the Hyundai Card website first, because ‘1.5M points = 1H coin’.

Most credit card companies are deposited immediately after application, but if you apply after 8 PM, it may be transferred to the next day.

You can also change the direct debit card on this site or app.

By the end of this year, the target will be expanded to include electricity bills, school banking, 4 major insurance and apartment management fees.

Of course, there is no missing part.

On the first day of use, yesterday, there were voices of dissatisfaction as the number of users became too crowded and even access was unavailable.

As of the end of 2019, the discarded card points amounted to KRW117 billion.

We made it a good idea to prevent consumer loss, but when you watch for a bit, some voices say that encouragement is needed.

The Financial Services Commission asked to avoid the initial opening and use it with a little leisure.
