Teenagers were captured while walking around the residential area, picking only empty cars with unlocked doors.

They even stole rental cars, where the victims captured them by GPS location and handed them over to the police.

This is an exclusive report by Park Hee-jae.

1 am, a luxury officetel underground parking lot in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul.

A blue car comes in, and after a while, younger-looking teenagers get off.

Look at the parked cars one by one and pull the door handle.

Then, when the doors of the two white cars open without a key, they drive away.

These four people gathered in the underground parking lot here on two occasions to check if the car door was open.

The two stolen cars were rental cars, but the day before, the owner accidentally left the keys in the car and unloaded.

The victim, who reported to the police, went in pursuit separately through the GPS signal on the rental car.

[한재필 / 보험회사 사고조사요원 : 블랙박스 영상을 봤을 때 절도범들이 많이 어렸어요. 어린 학생들이 운전하다가 혹시 사고라도 발생하게 되면 2차 사고가 날 수 있잖아요. 빨리 찾아야 한다는 생각밖에 없었어요.]

And in one day, they directly captured four car thefts.

All of them were teenagers without a driver’s license.

They started stealing in search of cars with unlocked doors.

Then he found a rental car with a key and even stolen a car.

The police have charged 4 people, including 16-year-old Army A, on charges of theft and are investigating whether there are any further crimes.
