The police are doing their best to analyze the confiscated material as it is possible to find clues whether employees exchanged internal information through the contents of the call and the messenger.

It was on the 9th that the Gyeonggi Southern Office seized and searched the LH headquarters, the metropolitan area business headquarters, and the residences of 13 employees.

At the time, 14 mobile phones and 4 tablet PCs were confiscated by LH employees.

In a call with YTN, a police official explained that the electronic devices being restored by the Police Agency are recovering well in the desired direction, and that general data are already being extracted and analyzed normally.

The government’s joint special investigative headquarters plans to summon employees who are suspected of speculation in turn as the forensic proceeds normally and as soon as the analysis of the confiscated material is completed.

The special edition plans to expand the scope of the investigation not only through investigation requests and espionage, but also through national reports.

There were 90 reports of allegations of real estate speculation that were received through the report center opened yesterday.

The contents of the report were alleged about speculation by LH employees, government officials of central and local governments, and municipal and provincial council members.

Five professional counseling police officers are assigned to the report center. If the speculation suspicion is specific, the National Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency will take over the case directly or the case will be allocated to the Metropolitan Police Agency.

Earlier, the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency sent 24 investigators to five locations, including the offices and homes of Representative Lee and Gwangmyeong City 6-level civil servant A, yesterday.

It was the first time that LH employees were suspicious of speculation and the police began a forcible investigation of city councilors and local government officials.

Congressman Lee conspired with his daughter to buy the land in Gwarim-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, the planned site for the 3rd new city, and then raised it to the building, raising suspicion of speculation.

It means that they knew the development information in advance and made a so-called’discussion’, but the purchase time was in September 2018, before the government announced the 3rd new city development plan.

A civic group has filed a complaint with the police asking Lee’s mother and daughter to violate the Special Act on Public Housing and to use business secrets under the Anti-Corruption Act.
