[사회][단독] ‘Jeju Coastal Border Project’ suspected of leaking police confidential data

This is a series of reports from YTN on the alleged collusion between the police and specific companies surrounding the Jeju maritime surveillance project.

As a result of the interview, the suspicious situation was captured from the open bidding in which six companies participated.

YTN has obtained material suspicious of the pre-disclosure of police confidential documents.

This is the exclusive report by reporter Kim Woo-jun.

This is a manual for the’Intelligent Coastal Border System Construction Project’ led by the Jeju Provincial Police Agency.

The main goal is to install thermal imaging surveillance equipment, TOD and radar on the coast of Jeju to take charge of maritime boundaries.

Six major domestic companies entered the bid.

After fierce competition, the LG CNS consortium was selected as a business operator.

However, when YTN looked at the business proposal, it found something suspicious.

It is a part related to the control room, the core facility of the TOD business.

The contents of the pictures and explanatory data are the same as the confidential documents of the Jeju National Police Agency obtained by YTN.

The appearance of the control room, the name of the equipment, and the contents of the description have not changed.

The police secret document was prepared in June 2019, and the company proposal was submitted to the police in November of the same year.

It is believed that confidential information related to the police business has been leaked in advance.

To this, the Jeju National Police Agency is not giving a cool answer.

The LG CNS consortium explained that other partners also participated in the proposal, and that even if there are similar contents to the police confidential data, it is not a legal sanction.

Legal experts pointed out this was an incomprehensible explanation.

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency has introduced a state-of-the-art unmanned surveillance system for the coastal boundary of Jeju.
