This is YTN’s continuous report on the raw material capacity manipulation of the pharmaceutical company Binex.

Immediately after the KFDA reported the company’s name, YTN will also report its real name as it stops manufacturing and selling related products.

It was revealed that Binex had been concealing the fact of illegal manufacturing by removing evidence or writing false documents prior to regular inspections by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

Binex, a pharmaceutical company, revealed to have arbitrarily manipulated the dosage of raw materials for diabetes and depression treatment and antipyretic drugs.

Park Mo, who worked in the manufacturing plant for 10 years, testified that the company’s illegal manufacturing was less than a day or two.

At first, there was a verbal instruction, but there was a bold and systematic manipulation of the management side, such as distributing the’manufacturing method’ as a document.

As a result of YTN’s coverage, it was revealed that the company gave a cover-up order to the staff in charge ahead of the regular inspection by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

About a month before the audit, when the KFDA informed me of the date, a whistleblower was issued claiming that all efforts were made to cover up the rest of the year.

Private lockers or trunks of the car were used as main hiding places.

Binex admitted the concealment order, but blamed it on the staff.

A senior company official told YTN reporters, “At the time, we understood that the team leader instructed the employees to hide illegal manufacturing.”

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety reported that an attempt was made to cover up the organization and added an investigator to the headquarters following the local Food and Drug Administration.
