[사설] Lawmakers being investigated will disband the prosecution.

Criticism is pouring out on the behavior of passports promoting the legislation to establish a serious crime investigation agency (heavy water office). Some point out that the promotion of the heavy water administration is self-contradictory. The core of the heavy water agency bill is to deprive the prosecutors from investigating the six major crimes. However, according to the amendment to the Prosecutors’ Office Act, which the government has pursued for several years and has been implemented since the beginning of this year, the prosecution’s right to investigate directly is guaranteed only for these six crimes. Where else is this nonsense that the ruling party is pushing ahead with a bill that will neutralize the law after a month of implementing the law that the government itself promoted as reform? In particular, former Minister Cho said in 2018, when he was chief civil servant, that he will only admit direct investigations for special investigations that the prosecution is already good at.

In such a situation where there are obvious conflicts of interest and self-contradiction, why is the passport focusing on the establishment of the heavy water office? It is difficult to think about the promotion of the heavy water administration in separation from the recent’passing’ and the voice of the company, Shin Hyun-soo, the president of the Blue House.
