Each religion has a demon. People find the devil outside, and they find it inside me. The devil appeared to Siddhartha, who practiced under the bodhi tree, and to Jesus, who was fasting in the wilderness. Wouldn’t it be more important to properly understand what the devil means, regardless of whether the real devil exists or does not exist? What does the devil appearing in the scriptures of each religion essentially mean?

Every religion has a devil. But does that devil really exist?

“There are demons in religion. For example, when the Buddha practiced alone in the woods, a demon appeared. Also, when Jesus fasted and meditated for 40 days in the wilderness, the devil appeared.”

Is that really the demon with horns appeared? If there really is such a devil, why have we never seen it?

“Where shall we check each one? When the Buddha was practicing under a bodhi tree, three beautiful women appeared. The scriptures say that they are the daughters of the devil.”

If you are a daughter of the Demon King, you are a kind of witch. You can say it is a devil.

“Yes. However, there is a reason why these villains appeared to Siddhartha while they were practicing. What would that be?”

Well, I see. First of all, the Buddha wouldn’t have come to cheer for his good practice. So, if you flip it over, you must have come to interfere with the practice.

“Yes. I came to disturb my practice. It is also in the form of a beautiful woman who stimulates the desires within me.”

“This is a very important question. I do my job, you do your job. Then it works. But why should the evil woman interfere with the Buddha’s practice? Here is a very heavy message of religion. Have you ever seen the movie’The Matrix’?”

Yes, it is. It’s not my generation, but it’s a very popular one. Neo, the protagonist, fights agents in a virtual world.

“Yes. Neo initially believes the Matrix is the real world. Then you realize that it’s a virtual world. That is Neo’s enlightenment. But even there, the agents endlessly pursue Neo. It interferes with Neo endlessly. Why is that?”

That’s because Neo is a dangerous person who can destroy the Matrix. If you leave Neo alone, we will be ruined.

“Yes. When Neo realizes that the Matrix is fake, it’s a big deal. Because it’s a virtual world, they disappear. It becomes dust and water bubbles. It goes back to normal. So what happens to the agents who boast of great power? They also become dust.”

Ah, that’s why the agents used flags to stop Neo. Because their existence disappears. wait… Is that the same with evil women?

“Yes. What if Siddhartha gained enlightenment? The wicked women become a bubble. It turns into dust. They return to their original identity.”

I don’t understand this. No, why does the villain become dust when Siddarta realizes? Siddhartha becomes a Buddha, and the evil woman just remains a evil woman.

“What is the devil’s identity? It’s a desire within me. That’s the devil. People believe that the devil is outside. You think there is a devil with horns on its head and a trident on its tail. It is not. This is not the case with the demon Siddhartha fought under the bodhi tree. It is the desire that was inherent in Siddhartha. It just appeared in the form of a devil.”

“That’s right. Siddhartha wants to get rid of that desire. But even if you get rid of it, get rid of it, and get rid of it again, it doesn’t go away. It keeps harassing yourself. That’s why they call it’demon’. But Siddhartha realized the devil’s identity.”

The devil’s identity, what is it?

“Look back on my past life. There are painful memories, sad feelings, and painful passages. But can you hold it in your hand? Can you hold it with both hands? No. Why not? Because it is empty. If you want to express it, it can be water bubbles, shadows reflected in water, or disappearing dust. The moment I realize that identity, the stones of emotion and sorrow that crushed my shoulders melt.”

So when Siddhartha realizes, the villain disappears. Explaining like this gives me hope. No matter how big a wound can melt. Because I think so, I feel empowered.

“right. The rock or rock in my heart is actually just a shadow. It’s just a bubble. It was just my illusion to think of it as a heavy rock. The Buddha realized that, and he told us it. It is easy to understand because it is compared to the matrix. In the end, it means that understanding the identity of the devil who is harassing us will also release the rocky core. I’m feeling strong for some reason.
