One of the words that hit the real estate market this year,’Young Kul’.

However, many of the 2030 generations, such as college students and beginners in society, lack capital and have a hard time escaping from’Hell-go (basement room + rooftop room + gosiwon)’. In particular, there are cases where they choose a house with a low deposit and a high monthly rent because they don’t look at any government fund or financial sector loans.

This is clearly evident in statistics that assume that the younger generation will be mostly single-person households because it will be before marriage. According to data from the National Statistical Office on the 8th, as of 2019, the number of single-person households was 6.188,000, accounting for the largest share (30.2%) of all households. Among them, those in their 20s accounted for 18.2%, and those in their 30s followed closely with 16.8%.

When looking at the housing support programs that single-person households need the most, it was listed in the following order: jeonse loan (29.9%) ▲ monthly rent subsidy (21.0%) ▲ long-term public rental housing (16.7%). In terms of total households, housing purchase loans (31.2%) were the strongest desire, but in single-person households, this portion was pushed to the fourth place.

Through the Housing and Urban Fund, the government supports products for renting out households named’Youth’. Some point out that the interest rate is low, but the loanable amount is not very large, or that it is not easy to meet the conditions of the loan.

In some cases, local governments apply. According to a survey by the National Statistical Office, when looking at single-person households by region, four out of ten households were counted as living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. These two local governments are operating systems such as’deposit support type long-term security housing’ for some of the local residents through the Seoul Housing and Urban Corporation (SH) and Gyeonggi City Corporation (GH). In particular, in the case of SH, if the conditions are met, 45 million won can be provided at no interest, so the contents of this part are included in the video.
