On the 7th, at the greeting of the first prosecutor of the Ministry of Justice Park Beom-gye, the prosecutor of the South Korean District of Seoul (26th Judicial Research and Training Institute) was appointed as the prosecutor’s chief of the Ministry of Justice, the most important of the prosecution’Big 4′. This is the reason why President Moon Jae-in’s junior at Kyunghee University law school, Lee Seong-yoon, the Seoul Central District District Prosecutor’s Office, was kept to a minimum.

Beom-gye Park, 7-year junior at Namgang High School, appointed Lee Jung-soo as the Prosecutor’s Office

According to the Namgang High School Alumni Association, Minister Park entered Namgang High School (6th session) in Gwanak-gu, Seoul in March 1978, but dropped out in February 1980, the end of his second year. Minister Park confessed that in his autobiography 『Choices of My Life』 published in January 2008, he had joined the violent circle of’Jonathan the Seagull’ after entering Namgang High School. He recalled that he decided to drop out when he was on the verge of being expelled from the school after having fought on behalf of an unfair friend who had been bullied. After dropping out, Minister Park continued to wander for a while. Afterwards, Minister Park obtained a high school diploma through the GED and entered Yonsei University Law School at the age of 24 in 1985 after completing military service. Minister Park received an honorary diploma after 27 years withdrawal from the Namgang High School graduation ceremony in February 2007.

Prosecutor Lee Jeong-soo is a graduate of Namgang High School 13th (1988) and is a high school junior to Minister Park. Prosecutor Lee is said to have built a friendship with Minister Park since his days as a lawmaker thanks to this academic background. Through the appointment of the Prosecutor’s Office this time, Minister Park performed a de facto’one-point’ greeting that changed the positions of Prosecutors General Shim Jae-cheol and Prosecutor Lee. An official of the prosecution said, “In place of the position of Prosecutor General Shim Jae-cheol who failed after leading the disciplinary action of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, a plurality of persons such as Prosecutor Lee Jeong-soo and Shim Woo-jung, head of the Ministry of Justice’s keynote were mentioned.” I think it seems.”

The Prosecutor General of the Ministry of Justice, who will be appointed by Prosecutor Lee, is regarded as the highest elite of the prosecution as a position to exert a powerful influence on the prosecution personnel and budget while assisting the Minister of Justice. Usually, after passing through the Prosecutor’s Office, he would move to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office at the next greeting.

“Isn’t it chosen for merit such as in favor of discipline, Seok-yeol Yoon?”

Within the prosecution, three more reasons were cited except for the fact that he was an alumnus of Namgang High School as the background for which Prosecutor Lee Jeong-soo was selected as the chief prosecutor. First, Prosecutor Lee made a statement in favor of the disciplinary action when the disciplinary committee against General Yoon was held last year. Prosecutor Lee did not participate with Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office Lee Seong-yoon and Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office in November last year when 17 front-line prosecutors across the country made a statement opposing the request for disciplinary action by President Yoon.

In addition, it is evaluated that the government has handled the investigation of the Lime incident, which was suspected of involvement by members of the Moon Jae-in regime. Former Southern District Prosecutor Park Soon-cheol (24th term) expressed his appreciation by saying that “politics covered the prosecution” in the prosecution’s internal communication network in October last year, criticizing the invocation of the investigation command power exercised by the Minister of Justice Cho Mi-ae at the time.

The person who was appointed to the Southern District Prosecutor’s Office as the successor to former District Prosecutors’ Park was Lee, who was then the Chief Prosecutor’s Office of Planning and Coordination. Prosecutor Lee indicted two former and current prosecutors who were “suspected of drinking alcohol” after taking office as chief prosecutor of the southern district, but the investigation of suspicion of passport lobby is still sluggish.

The fact that he did not speed up the investigation of the anti-corruption force chief (prosecutor) Shin Sung-sik who is pointed out as an official at the prosecution who reported the misinformation of KBS’s’Channel A case’ is also considered as the background for this selection.

Prosecutor Lee Jeong-soo was dispatched to the National Intelligence Service in 2017-2018, the early days of the current government, and worked as a legal advisor to the head of the National Intelligence Service and as a prosecutor for the TF.

Shim Jae-cheol (27th), who is the successor to the Southern District Prosecutor’s Office, will be in charge of the Lime case, Director Shin Seong-sik case, and the National Assembly Fast Track case involving Minister Park Beom-gye himself. Another prosecution official said, “Lee Jung-soo and Shim Jae-cheol’s’Switch Personnel’ aren’t the ones who are going to turn their people back and do not fight the regime investigation.”
