[스포티비뉴스=정유진 기자] Group GOT7 Yugyeom is leaving JYP Entertainment.

According to the Spotify News report on the 6th, Yugyeom, whose exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as JYP) expires in January, plans to sign an exclusive contract with hip-hop label AOMG. Yugyeom, who has been in contact with various management companies since last year over the course of the contract with JYP after the expiration of the contract, recently made up his mind with AOMG led by Park Jae-bum.

GOT7, which debuted in 2014, will expire this month’s exclusive contract with the agency JYP. Amid the recent rumors of another member Jinyoung’s transfer to BH Entertainment, Yugyeom also transferred to AOMG, raising questions about GOT7’s future activities.

If the members have different management companies, they will inevitably have difficulties in smooth team activities. If GOT7 members continue to leave, it will be difficult to guarantee smooth team activities.

JYP is holding individual meetings with all 7 GOT7 members and discussing various plans. Even if the members’ agency is different, we are also considering a case where they can work together as GOT7. JYP revealed to Spotify News that “we are discussing with GOT7 exclusive contract from various angles.”

GOT7 is a 7-member multinational boy group consisting of JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom. It debuted as a male group of JYP that succeeds 2PM and got a good response from the start. With hit songs such as’Just Like’,’If You Do”Lola by’,’Hard Carry’,’Not by the Moon’,’A’ and’Girls Girls Girls’, they received great love from global fans.

Last year, he received the’Mnet Asian Music Awards’ (MAMA) Worldwide Fans Choice Award, and in the’Asian Artist Awards’, he won the Singer Award and Performance of the Year Award.
