‘Mokbang YouTuber’ Ziyang (real name Park Jeong-won, 24) sued the police for netizens who made malicious comments about him.

Jeonghyang, a law firm in charge of Ziyang’s legal representative, announced on the 25th that it has sued the Gyeonggi Gwangmyeong Police Station for 128 people who posted unfounded malicious comments for the purpose of slandering Ziyang.

According to the contents of the complaint, the respondents were netizens who made malicious comments on articles related to Ziyang on portal sites such as Naver and Daum in November-December last year. Comments were such as, “X is returning,” “I wish you a thunderbolt,” “It looks like a beast is eating.”

Attorney Ho-Seok Kang in charge of this case said, “We are monitoring malicious comments related to’Jeongwon Bunsik’, a snack house named after Ziyang, as well as postings of additional malicious content, and we plan to proceed with further complaints.” “Ziyang clearly states that it will not take any economic interests through the lawsuit,” he said. “There will never be any prejudice by simple reflection.”

Attorney Kang said, “We will proceed without additional litigation costs in order to contribute to the improvement of the culture of bad comments through severe punishment of bad players.”

Ziyang, a popular foodie YouTuber with more than 3.07 million subscribers, declared retirement after suffering from bad comments after being suspicious of’back advertisement’ in August last year. Since then, it has returned and continues its activities in November, three months later.
