Former President Choi was the first person to raise the suspicion of forgery of the Tong Yang University citation by Cho’s daughter. A senior official at Tongyang University said in a phone call with the JoongAng Ilbo right after the court sentence, “I have not heard of the sentence of Professor Jung. Tong Yang University was not ready to take an official stance on this sentence, nor was there any discussion on how to respond.”
