A (female, 43), an incumbent elementary school teacher in Ulsan Metropolitan City, was caught last month while working as an online real estate instructor, causing controversy. This teacher is being audited by the Ulsan Office of Education. The education authorities said they plan to determine the level of disciplinary action after investigating whether Mr. A has engaged in concurrent jobs or separate for-profit activities that are prohibited by public officials.

Incumbent teachers act as real estate instructors
According to the Ulsan Office of Education, Mr. A gave a lecture on’How to get rich by monthly rent through gap investment’ on the B platform specializing in real estate lectures from January to February. Mr. A’s lectures counted by the B platform were about 1,000 students, and the tuition fee per person was 250,000 won. Platform B is also a place where an employee of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), who was dismissed after conducting a commercial activity as a real estate auction’one stroke instructor’, gave lectures.
According to the lecture promotional material, Mr. A, an incumbent elementary school teacher, was introduced as a master of real estate investment. It means that he made a brilliant transformation outside the school as a’bu-kae’ (a sub-character) who is a financial expert. Mr. A introduced himself as a’normal office worker who made 6.7 million won in cash flow and 1.2 billion won in market profit in four years’. It also wrote down phrases such as’how to become a building owner without my money (gap investment)’ and’tell me the most efficient two jobs as a worker.’
Mr. A, who appeared on the B platform’s YouTube channel last year as a student, said, “Working as a working mother, I accidentally encountered real estate books and learned about auctions.”

An official from the Ulsan Office of Education said on the 22nd, “We are grateful for grasping the circumstances in which Mr. A, a faculty member, did not go through the procedure for making a profit.” An official from the Ulsan Office of Education said, “We thoroughly investigated whether Mr. A’s unlicensed concurrent employment or for-profit activities, as well as whether the lecture encouraged real estate speculation,” said “As the audit is in the final stage, we will determine the appropriate disciplinary level sooner or later.”
However, “the B platform side is asserting that’Mr. A wrote a talent donation agreement and lectured for free’,” he added. “I will thoroughly check this part through legal advice.”

The elementary school, where Mr. A was teaching at the time of his lecture, said, “I haven’t been granted permission for a second job related to real estate lectures.” The elementary school where Mr. A is currently working said, “Mr. A has never come to work, saying that he has a study year system for one year.”
