JTBC will open the door with the sole tracked content. “Comfort women voluntarily engaged in prostitution,” a thesis by Professor Ramsey in the United States is continuing. Moreover, there are forces that contribute to such distortions, and among them are Koreans. Our reporter obtained and analyzed a 30-page article by Professor Ramsey two years ago, which can also be considered a draft of this paper. Claims by Korean far-right characters were cited, and even said that these people were suffering.

This is the’discussion material’, which is the first draft of Professor Ramsey’s thesis in March 2019.

From the beginning, this material titled’Comfort Women and Professors’ said, “There has never been a document that a Korean woman was forcibly mobilized in a comfort station.”

However, looking at the domestic academic professors mentioned here, most of them were classified as far right besides Professor Park Yoo-ha and former Seoul National University professor Lee Young-hoon.

The comments of far-right commentator Ji Ji Won Won were also cited.

“Most of the comfort women tried to enter prostitution because of difficult economic conditions.”

Later, it was said that Chung Dae-hyup sued Ji for defamation.

Professor Jeon Bong-gwan, who wrote a review after reading’The Comfort Women of the Empire’ written by Professor Park Yoo-ha, also comes out.

“The Japanese army was busy fighting and did not have time to recruit women from Korea.”

Ahn Byung-jik, an emeritus professor at Seoul National University, who is a key figure of New Light, said, “Koreans in the (prostitution) industry recruited women.”

In particular, in Korea, it was said that raising questions about the comfort women issue would result in disadvantages.

“A Korean political scientist was suspended from school after discussing Soo-hee Soo’s book in class,” he claimed.

I also heard that Professor Park Yoo-ha was fined in court after writing “Imperial Comfort Women”.

In the conclusion, Professor Ramsey also regarded them as victims, saying that professors who objected to the comfort women issue were sued for defamation.

Previously, Professor Park Yoo-ha had been controversial by posting a post supporting Ramsay’s argument.
