It was revealed that the candidate Park Beom-gye, the Minister of Justice, omitted the land and buildings in Miryang City, Gyeongnam, which his wife had donated in November 2018, in the details of the property disclosure in March 2019. Previously, candidate Park was confirmed that the 20,000m2 land acquired at the age of 7 was not included in the property report of public officials for eight years after being elected as a member of the National Assembly.

As a result of confirming the property report of Candidate Park on the 4th of May, Park candidate Park’s wife Mi-young Joo was given a building and land in Gagok-dong, Miryang-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, in November 2018, but candidate Park was included in the property details released in March 2019. It was not included until March 2020.

The real estate in Miryang, Gyeongnam, which Mr. Joo owns, covers an area of 327m2 and some of the neighborhood living facilities above it (137m2 of 275m2). In November 2018, Mr. A, who is believed to be his brother, was given half of the land and buildings. Then, after Park announced that he would dispose of only one house left behind as a lawmaker, on August 25 last year, Mr. Joo donated land and buildings to Mr. B and Mr. C, who are believed to be nephews (children of Mr. A). Mr. B and Mr. C are both born in 1996 and 2002 with their last name, Ju.

The official land price of Gagok-dong, Miryang, Gyeongnam exceeds 700,000 won per square meter. The publicly announced land price of Mr. Joo alone reached 217.36 million won. Considering that the publicly announced land price is half of the market price, the market price reaches 400 million won.

Prior to this, it was found that candidate Park did not include one of the thousands of pyeongs of land acquired at the age of 7 in the details of property reports of public officials for eight years after being elected to the National Assembly. According to candidate Park’s property reports obtained by the Office of the People’s Power of the People’s Power, Yoo Sang-beom, in June 1970, when he was 7 years old, candidate Park took half of the shares (approximately 6424 pyeong) of 42,476 square meters in the forest, San 25-2, Yakmok-ri, Shenzhen-myeon, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. Acquired. Park’s stake is equivalent to 2,092 million won based on the current publicly announced land price (about 3,256 won per 3.3㎡).

In response, Candidate Park said, “When the first National Assembly member was elected in 2012, the assistants were omitted in the process of filing a property report, but the candidate came to realize that the property registration was omitted during the process of verifying the property relations for the personnel verification of this minister candidate.” “There is no reason to deliberately omit the report with the current publicly announced land price of 20 million won,” he explained. However, it is pointed out that Candidate Park has included the land in the property list when the candidate directly reported the property at the time of appointment as Secretary for Civil Affairs 2 of the Blue House in 2003, so the explanation is not clear.
