According to the police on the 19th, Mr. A has been working as a “popular post writing member” in a Facebook private group where mothers mainly gathered from November 2019, and has posted several articles on family.

In the post by Mr. A to the group, we can glimpse the circumstances in which there was a disagreement with Mr. B (24), her husband. In December 2019, right after the birth of her first daughter, Mr. A said, “#Postpartum depression”. “I feel far from my husband. My husband seems to be ignoring (me) and doesn’t care. My husband always drinks and feels alone. I may have depression, but I feel so lonely.”

Last month, just before the birth of their second son, “My husband was drinking, and he said that the first and second were not their own children, but they were like other men’s children, and that we should do a genetic test. So, he said,’I know,’ and asked, “The blood type can’t come out of the children in probability, and people complain, but what should I do in this case?”

These couples were also found to have made statements related to family disputes during a police investigation. A police official said, “There was a statement that there was a disagreement between the couple.” In the past, there were reports of domestic violence in these families, saying, “My wife was beaten by her husband.”

Mr. A visited the SNS group on the 27th of last month, the day he gave birth to his second son. “I gave birth to my second son at 6:7 am,” he said. In this article posted by Mr. A, there are hundreds of comments from members who are currently criticizing “how can I kill a child with such an article?”

After giving birth to his son, Mr. A wrote several times that he had an abnormality in his health, saying, “I keep bleeding from the area where I had a cesarean section.” In particular, he posted two related articles from the beginning of this month to the last 7 days when the police said there was an assault on his son. Regarding this, a police official said, “Mr. A gave birth to a son and made a statement that he was not feeling well and beat the child.”

According to the police, Mr. A and Mrs. A are accused of killing them by violence, including throwing their two-week-old son into bed at an officetel in Iksan on the 9th. A couple said, “(son) kept crying and vomiting powdered milk and beating him.” It was found that these couples searched for’how to get rid of bruises quickly’ with a smartphone, etc., without taking them to the hospital after hitting their son.

The police applied charges of child abuse, serious injury, assault, and murder to Mr. A’s couple and handed them over to the prosecution on the 18th. They admitted to the allegations, but they showed the attitude of holding each other responsible for the death of the child, the police said. A police official said, “I applied the crime of murder by omission to them based on the autopsy finding that it would not have resulted in death if the child was immediately transferred to a hospital for treatment.” Omission means that the child has not been obligated to avoid the dangers he should have, and he believes he is responsible for not properly taking relief measures for the child.
