The facility will be closed from 0 o’clock on the 12th of the Seo-gu Seobu Presbyterian Church (reported on the 1st page of the Busan Ilbo on Jan. 4, etc.), which conducted face-to-face worship despite the orders of the quarantine authorities. The church side heard a white flag saying,’We accept the action of the ward office, and there will be no face-to-face worship in the future.’

The Seo-gu Office announced on the 11th, “We are going to deliver an announcement on the closing of the facility to the Seobu Presbyterian Church, which also held face-to-face worship on the 10th last weekend.” The closing time is from 0 o’clock on the 12th, and the period is decided by the mayor of the ward. It is the first time in Busan that the Seobu Presbyterian Church has been shut down among religious facilities that violate the corona 19 quarantine regulations.

On the 11th, the competent ward office took measures to close the facility on the western church in Seo-gu, Busan, which held face-to-face worship while violating the order to suspend operations. Previously, the Western Presbyterian Church accused the Western Presbyterian Church seven times, and yet, after insisting on a face-to-face service, it issued an order to suspend operation for 10 days from the 7th.

However, the Western Presbyterian Church ignored this and held a weekend worship service on the 10th with 560 members attending. In the end, the Western-gu office pulled out a knife called’facility closure’.

In response to the Western District Office’s decision, the church said it plans to follow the closing measures. He explained that the face-to-face worship that had been enforced so far was a decision that was unavoidably made by many elderly believers who had difficulty in online non-face-to-face worship.

Seobu Presbyterian Church Associate Pastor Tak-won Lee said, “Over 50% of the church members are currently worshiping non-face-to-face, but many elderly believers who cannot access the Internet voluntarily visited and could not stop it. He said, “I plan not to worship in the future if the facility is closed.”

Meanwhile, the church in Gangseo-gu, which is insisting on face-to-face worship with the Western Presbyterian Church, also enforced a prayer at the dawn of the 11th. More than 200 people attended the service on this day.

Gangseo-gu Office is planning to close the facility on the 11th of the 11th at the Seegero Church, which held face-to-face worship during the period of suspension.
