Blue House “There is no illegal or expedient”
Opposition “This is real estate speculation”

According to the contents confirmed by Congressman Young-Seok Yoon’s office in Yangsan City, Gyeongnam on the 11th, On January 20, Yangsan City granted permission to convert farmland to 1871㎡ (566 pyeong) of farmland at 363-4 Jisan-ri, Hebuk-myeon, jointly owned by President Moon and his wife. According to the Farmland Act, agricultural activities must be carried out on farmland. However, in order to use farmland for purposes other than agriculture, such as building houses, it is necessary to obtain exclusive permission from the competent local government.

In addition, Yangsan City gave permission to use the farmland owned by President Moon and his wife, as well as a building permit for the new building of the Presidential Security Service. This means that all administrative procedures for the start of the construction of the sister residence where President Moon will stay after retirement have been completed. In the future, when the construction of the sister’s residence is completed and passes the completion inspection, the name of the farmland owned by President Moon and his wife, which is currently set to be’jeon’, will be changed to’land’.

On April 29, last year, President Moon’s couple and the security service bought 3860m2 of land in the area of 313 Jisan-ri and 363-2~6. In addition, a two-story detached house (87.3m2 on the first floor and 22.32m2 on the second floor) was also purchased. It is said that the total purchase amount of President Moon and his wife is about 1 billion won.

The opposition party is predicting that the price of land owned by President Moon and his wife will rise due to the change in farmland characteristics. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s actual transaction price disclosure system, the Moon and his wife bought the farmland (363-4 Jisan-ri) for 593.49 million won. It is 31,7205 won per square meter, and 104,8569 won per pyeong.

Rep. Yoon Young-seok said, “The purpose of using the land was changed within a year after purchasing farmland with relatively low land prices for farming. This is the real estate speculation that the Moon Jae-in administration hated so much,” he criticized.

Earlier, the opposition party also raised suspicion of false preparation of the agricultural management plan prepared when the Moon and his wife bought farmland.

The Power of the People According to the agricultural management plan submitted by Congressman Ahn Byung-gil from the Hebuk-myeon office, President Moon’s farming experience is 11 years, and Mrs. Kim Jeong-suk’s farming experience is 0 years. In addition, President Moon reported that he had been’self-policing’ for lost water at 76㎡ (three parcels) set as’Ap’ in Maegok-dong, Yangsan-si, which he purchased in 2009.

In the Farmland Act,’self-care’ is defined as “a farmer who is constantly engaged in cultivating crops or cultivating perennial plants in the farmland owned by the farmer, or cultivating or cultivating more than one-half of the agricultural work by his own labor. A’farmer’ is ▶ a person who grows crops on farmland of 1,000 square meters or more, or ▶ a person who engages in agriculture for more than 90 days in a year. ▶ a person whose annual sales of agricultural products through agricultural management is 1.2 million won or more. The plan was prepared by a representative delegated to the Moon and his wife.

Rep. Ahn said, “Since President Moon purchased his sister-in-law in Maegok-dong in 2009, he has been unable to vigilantly through the National Assembly, presidential candidates, and party representatives. In addition, some of the land listed as being farmed is an asphalt road,” he said. “What is different from the method of LH employees who bought farmland in the third new city area by writing a false agricultural management plan?”

The Blue House is in a position that there is no problem with the process of acquiring farmland by the Moon couple. Spokesman Kang Min-seok said in a written briefing on the 9th, “There is no illegal or expedient method (in the process of acquiring farmland). We express our strong regret for raising the groundless suspicion.” Spokesman Kang added, “We obtained permission to acquire the farmland according to the procedure stipulated in the Farmland Act, and this procedure is not different from the process of preparing the people to return to farming and returning villages.”
