Ethereum prices fell 4.23%, XRP 8.82%, Litecoin 2.12%, Cardano 6.94%, Polkadot 8.53%, Bitcoin Cash 5.03%, and Stellar 13.15%.

Bitcoin futures prices on the Chicago Merchandise Exchange (CME) weakened. The most actively traded January prices rose by $375 to $40,000, February prices rose by $235 to $40,335, and March prices rose by $275 to $40,905.

A senior Bloomberg analyst predicted that given the current market sentiment, Bitcoin would be more likely to rise toward the $50,000 direction rather than retreating to the $20,000 level through correction.

The US New York Stock Exchange rose 0.18% for the Dow, 1.04% for the Nasdaq and 0.55% for the S&P 500.
